The Malibu luxury picnic set is one of our all-time favourite picnic sets. With wide wooden slats, it gives a luxurious feel and look whilst still being durable and strong. Our hardwood is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council meaning that it has come from managed plantations and is not contributing to the world’s deforestation problems.It consists of one large 220cm long dining table with two elegantly proportioned benches. Picnic sets are a great British classic, so we thought why not bring back this category with a sleek, minimalist and modern design.The benches are sized so they conveniently slide into the picnic table to save space when not in use which makes them ideal for when you have the family and kids over! Our sustainable hardwood is fantastic value for money and the thick components will stand up well to mother nature. This set has been pre-treated with a greywash stain to authentically mimic the natural ageing process timber undergoes. As the timber is ageing naturally alongside the pre-treated greywash finish, these tones naturally blend over time to form a beautiful silver patina. You may notice some changes in colour and tone whilst this process occurs, but please rest assured that this is simply due to the furniture adjusting to its new environment. Timber is a live, natural material which reacts uniquely with each environment and changes to appearance will occur until the timber stabilises within its surroundings. Although this product has been made with the British climate in mind, wood is still a natural material and will react to the outdoor climate. Slight cracks will occur over time, but these will only add to the wood’s character and charm.
